DESCRIPTION:The Okanagan Precision Driving Association (OPDA) is pleased to announce its second annual Introduction to Autocross driver training program scheduled for Saturday\, April 19\, 2025. \nThe goal of our Introduction to Autocross day is to introduce beginners to the fun and exciting sport of Autocross. Sorry\, experienced Autocrossers will not be accepted.  \nThis is a full day of Autocross driver training beginning with classroom instruction\, followed by graduated in-car\, on-course training and culminating in Autocross mini-competition. \nFor 2025\, entrants will receive a free 2025 membership in the Okanagan Precision Driving Association. An OPDA membership\, normally costing $50\, entitles members to register and compete in any 2025 Okanagan Autocross event. \nThe event is open to all age groups and no experience is required. Participants must hold a valid driver’s license and provide their own car or arrange to share a car with another participant. A certified helmet is required but one will be provided if not available (supplies are limited). \nOur aim is to provide each student with individual instruction from seasoned Autocross competitors. Accordingly\, attendance will be capped at 20 students in order to provide a high instructor to student ratio.  \nStudents can familiarize themselves with the basics of Autocross by viewing this introductory video prior to the event.

Event runs from 9am-6pm with Drivers meeting at 9AM Sharp.\nDrivers will be classed based on tire tread wear 200 and under is Comp Class\, 201 and up is Street Class. NEW for this\nyear we will be using a bigger split to improve competition. Street Class will be broken down into 2WD and 4WD\nclasses\, as will Comp Class. there will also be a class for beginners new to the sport.\nSNELL 2015 Helmet is the minimum.\nDrivers and Passengers MUST attend the drivers meeting held at 9am sharp or face a 20$ penalty.\nAll Participants must sign a waiver\, located on site and pay 60$ as a driver.\nDrivers may share a vehicle\, maximum of 2 drivers per vehicle.\nAll Vehicles must pass a thorough SELF TECHNICAL DELCLARATION available to complete on site via QR code. DESCRIPTION:The Event – Cup 1 (Saturday) VCMC is excited to bring you the first 2025 AutoX weekend in Merritt\, BC at the Airport. This event is the first in the year and will be a double header (Saturday and Sunday). Each day is a seperate event and you can sign up for one or both (search Cup 2 for the Sunday event). The facility offers a large apron and a full runway that can be used for the event surface. The Saturday event starts later to allow for people to have time to travel in the morning of to save on hotel costs for people who want to do both days. \nThe event is capped at 90 participants. \nSpectators are welcome. \nNo drop-in\, online registration only (closes 48 hours before the day of the event) \nPlease note that 2010 helmets are NOT qualified anymore \nThere is camping space on site for tents and some RV’s Friday and Saturday night. Space is limited. \nJoin us for autoslalom at VCMC Cup 1 and 2 Merritt Airport! We are hosting dinner too! Pay $5 to get a $25 meal! We are excited to get everyone together and celebrate our shared love for motorsport. We’ll also have a heated hospitality tent for before\, during\, and after the event. We are ready for anything! DESCRIPTION:Join us for our yearly Auto-X event @ Home Hardware\, Fort St John!  \nCourse will be set up in the Home Hardware Parking Lot. 60$ for the day includes 6 competition timed runs!  \nClassifications run based on Tire treadwear and 2WD/4WD designations. \nRegistration is limited to 40 Drivers. All road going vehicles that will pass the tech and requirements are welcome. Valid insurance and license is required to participate. a DOT helmet is also mandatory for all drivers and passengers\nSelf Tech Declaration and Yearly Waiver are mandatory for participation.  \nDrivers Meeting is 9am Sharp\, followed by a walk of the course. Participant parking will be on the road in front of home hardware. SUMMARY:OPDA Okanagan Autocross - Kelowna
DESCRIPTION:Autocross\, also known as autoslalom or solo\, is an inexpensive form of motorsport petition that uses traffic cones in a paved lot to produce a small road course for competitive events. Participants compete to see who can make it through the course the quickest and without dislocating cones or going off course. Two seconds are added to the driver’s time with each cone violation. Leaving the defined course path results in a disqualification of your time for that run. \nAutocross is considered one of the safest forms of motorsport because competitors are racing against the clock rather than against other cars. Vehicles are launched once the previous competitor has completed the course or at sufficient intervals that no interaction will occur. Autocross events test driver skill and car handling rather than all out speed and aggression. \nAutocross events may not achieve the breakneck speeds of road races\, but it’s one of the most challenging and intense forms of motorsport in which you can participate. With low barriers to entry\, almost anyone with a valid driver’s license\, a car and the desire for motorsport competition can join the fun.

DESCRIPTION:This Okanagan Autocross event is being held at Okanagan College\, west parking lot\, 1000 K.L.O. Road in Kelowna\, BC. \n3:30 PM – Setup begins\n4:30 PM – Onsite check-in\n5:00 PM – Course walk\n5:45 PM – Driver’s meeting\n6:00 PM – Competition begins \nAll competitors must check-in at the registration table on arrival and complete the course walk in order to participate in the event. \nParticipants must be familiar with the OPDA Okanagan Autoslalom Supplementary Regulations and the CACC Autoslalom Regulations. \nPlease remember that an approved helmet is required\, and that no open-toed shoes are allowed. Also note that\, competitors are required to submit a completed technical self-declaration form to the technical inspector once annually for each vehicle used in an Okanagan Autocross event. \nThe Okanagan Precision Driving Association reserves the right to retain all or partial payment for cancellations less than 48 hours before the event. DESCRIPTION:The Event – Cup 3/4 (Saturday/Sunday) VCMC is excited to bring you another AutoX event in Merritt\, BC\, at the Airport. This event will be a double header (Saturday and Sunday) you will need to register for both Cup 3 and Cup 4 for access to both days. The facility offers a large apron and a full runway that can be used for the event surface. For people who want to participate both days\, the Saturday event starts later to allow time for the drive to Merritt in the morning. This helps to save on hotel costs. \nOnsite Camping\nThere is camping space onsite for tents and some RVs on Friday and Saturday nights. Access to the site will be provided starting at 5pm on Friday.

NEW for this\nyear we will be using a bigger split to improve competition. Street Class will be broken down into 2WD and 4WD\nclasses\, as will Comp Class. there will also be a class for beginners new to the sport.\nSNELL 2015 Helmet is the minimum.\nDrivers and Passengers MUST attend the drivers meeting held at 9am sharp or face a 20$ penalty.\nAll Participants must sign a waiver\, located on site and pay 60$ as a driver.\nDrivers may share a vehicle\, maximum of 2 drivers per vehicle.\nAll Vehicles must pass a thorough SELF TECHNICAL DELCLARATION available to complete on site via QR code.
