DESCRIPTION:Ice X event #2\nHeld locally on the frozen surface of Charlie lake!\nAccessible from the south boat launch\, the track is open to all road going vehicles and SXS (providing vehicles have\nactive registration and insurance)\nClasses will be as follows;\nNo Stud 2WD\nStreet Stud 2WD\nNo Stud 4WD\nStreet Stud 4WD\nRace Stud (please refer to sticky on PRMA page for stud allowances)\nSXS\nA tarp must be used to park on by participants. A limited quantity of tarps are available to purchase for 10$ each\nAll drivers and passengers must wear a DOT or SNELL approved helmet and seatbelts must be operable.\nAll vehicles must complete a self tech proving no mechanical problems exist and no fluid leaks will be permitted to\nrace.\nAll participants must sign a digital on site waiver.\nSpectator parking will be marked a separate from pits area for racing.\nAbsolutely no reckless driving in the pits will be tolerated\, and could revoke your ability to race for the day.\n60$ gets a minimum of 6 timed laps\nAll drivers are required to attend the drivers meeting at 10AM sharp. DESCRIPTION:Join us on February 7/8\, 2026 for a weekend’s worth of ICE-X! \nIce-X offers a safe environment for both new and experienced drivers wanting to learn how to drive better\, find the limits of their car in low traction conditions\, and have some fun. We aim to create an inclusive community for participants looking to do something different during the winter months. \nIce-X is similar to an Auto-X event\, but on ice: \nCompetitors take turns trying to set a fast lap time around a set course\nHitting cones or going off course incurs penalties against your times\nCars are classed based on drivetrain and tires (AWD\, FWD\, or RWD\, on either Rubber or Street-Studded tires)\nYour fastest lap time from the morning and afternoon sessions on both days are combined for a total score\nWe run a Run/Work/Break format with a lunch break (catered on site)\nWe run two concurrent courses: one timed\, and one practice track for your break period to keep things fun\nLocation \nThe event is held on Barnes Lake\, near Ashcroft\, BC\, Canada and is approximately a 4 hour drive from Vancouver. Be prepared for varied travel conditions and allow for extra time.   \nAccommodations are available in Ashcroft or Cache Creek\, or you can choose to camp overnight next to the lake. If you choose the latter\, make sure you are well prepared for the cold since temperatures can go as low as -20°C during the daytime (and therefore potentially colder at night).
