Current Regulation

10.1.1 All vehicles participating in any CACC-sanctioned race event must have a securely mounted forward-facing camera that poses no visual or physical obstruction to the driver. The camera must record a clear horizontal forward view whenever on track.

Proposed Regulation

10.1.1 All vehicles participating in any CACC-sanctioned race event must have a securely mounted functioning, forward-facing camera that poses no visual or physical obstruction to the driver and is secured to the body, chassis, or interior of the vehicle via a stationary mounting device suitable to withstand the conditions of motor sports usage . The camera must record a clear horizontal forward view whenever on track.  Failure to provide video footage to officials may result in penalties per GCR 11.5

Reason for Rule Change

Clarification of rule - deals with helmet mounted cameras, non functioning cameras and penalties for not producing video when requested by stewards.
