22. VEHICLE NUMBERS

CACC competition discipline vehicle numbers are used to identify individual vehicles during competitive events. Vehicle numbers must be displayed in the size, quantity and location as indicated by each discipline's regulations. Where a discipline requires CACC-assigned vehicle numbers, they shall be managed according to the following:

22.1 Vehicle numbers are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.
22.2 Vehicle numbers are renewed annually during the CACC competition license renewal process.
22.3 Vehicle numbers not renewed when a driver submits their competition license application are considered abandoned and available for reassignment to others.
22.4 Vehicle numbers renewed but not used in a CACC-sanctioned event for two consecutive years will be eligible for  revocation and reassignment.
22.5 Vehicle numbers are assigned at the discretion of the CACC and, as a condition of use, must be surrendered when so requested by the CACC. 
22.6 At the discretion of the CACC Board of Directors, any vehicle number may be retired and excluded from future use.
