| Proposed Regulation | For Hill Climb events, Max class participants who take advantage of the preceding rule will be bumped up into the next applicable class following the SCCA Time Trials rules. At the bottom of each Max class, there is a line stating where the class in question gets bumped to. | Reason for Rule Change | Max was not intended to “bump up one” when something requires it (weight typically). The bumping “path”. If we are continuing to allow this bumping, it should follow the path laid out in the SCCA time trials rulebook. For clarity, it should be known that modifications (following the same path) are allowed from the class below it. For instance Max 2 does not list the engine configuration listed in max 3, however it is allowed to be used in max 2 irrelevant of whether it is below the minimum weight for max 3. |
