18.7.2.7.3 In an effort to reduce the number of classes and to properly represent the cars competing in Hill Climb events, Sport and Tuner are removed and all cars that would normally fit in those classes for Time Attack, will be placed in their associated Max Class. If the car otherwise complies with ALL rules laid out in Tuner or Sport, the car is allowed to move down one class in Max.

Max 1:
If a car is legal for Max 1 but is following the complete rules laid out in Sport or Tuner, the car can move to Max 2.

Max 2:
If a car is legal for Max 2 but is following the complete rules laid out in Sport or Tuner, the car can move to Max 3.

Max 3:
If a car is legal for Max 3 but is following the complete rules laid out in Sport or Tuner, the car can move to Max 4.

Max 4:
If a car is legal for Max 4 but is following the complete rules laid out in Sport or Tuner, the car can move to Max 5.
.
Max 5:
If a car is legal for Max 5 but is following the complete rules laid out in Sport or Tuner, the car can move to Max 6.

Reason for Rule Change

Historically very few entrants are using the Sport and Tuner categories. There is also a push to reduce the number of classes for Hill Climb to promote competition. This is mostly due to the level of preparation required to compete in a Hill Climb usually means that cars have other modifications that are not allowed in Sport or Tuner. This change is replacing 10 classes with one (max 6) and giving people incentive to stay within the Sport and Tuner allowances.
